Simplify It

Posted on October 1, 2013 at 7:30 AM Comments comments (0)

Approach this day with the spirit of a child but with the wisdom of an adult. Do you remember singing songs as a child like: The Jesus In Me Loves The Jesus In You. The Jesus In Me Loves The Jesus In You...So Easy...

and we can't forget... This Lil Light of Mine...I'm Gonna Let It Shine. This Lil Light of Mine I'm Gonna Let It Shine..This Lil Light of Mine I'm Gonna Let It Shine...Let It Shine...Let It Shine...Let It Shine.

If we can keep the innocence and positive energy from those old school children songs and keep them in our hearts...it will give us an inner peace/glow/positive energy that will connect with the God given wisdom to assist you throughout your day. Life is challenging enough...don't assist in making it more complicated. Have a delightful day. Stay Blessed.

Does Your Status Show You Are Available

‎1Peter 3:15 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.

Matthew 24:42 Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.

1John 2:28 And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.

What does your status say? Many of us use social networks like facebook & twitter. We routinely post status updates to every friend, family member and total stranger willing to listen (read). Question: As believers of the MOST HIGH...What does your status say about you?

I don't mean the post you just put about the food you cooked and ate but what about the spiritual food (nourishment) you have received? Are you sharing with others how delectable the Word is? Are you sharing testimonies about His goodness and mercy for every friend, family member or total stranger willing to listen? I'm not speaking of doing this online (only). I'm talking about your life in general. Is your way of living a reflection of availability? If Our Father was to look at you RIGHT NOW is the light beside your name green? Are you online but emotionally (spiritually) away (like many of us keep our computers on but we leave...so if an instant message comes through...it may go unanswered for hours or not at all)? Or, is your green light on and you are available...present, accounted for and waiting for the next post (Breath of LIFE) He has for you? Are you ready to be a blessing? Are you ready for your blessing? DOES YOUR STATUS SHOW THAT YOU ARE AVAILABLE?

Dysfunction Wasn't Apart of the Plan

Just because the root word of dysfunction is function doen't mean you have to make your dysfunction functional. As humans (within our dysfunctions) we tend to make more justifications and compensations instead of having the dysfunction to rise to our expectations. As a spiritual nation we need to accept that it's time to be pruned. It's time we shed off the useless stress of what's dysfunctional in our lives. Personally, I no longer want to allow the weight of dead spirits to drag me down. I must shake myself loose from that because if I am being suffocated by the dysfunction then how can I expect to breathe the breath of life. I can't deny that pruning is painful. But would you rather hurt for a little while going through the pruning process to get to your fullest potential or would you rather keep trying to function in your dysfunction which yields to longer misery and missing the revelation of the beauty of what was destined over your life? I personally prefer to break free from my dysfunction and I choose to start taking steps today. I'm not waiting for a new years resolution wish to miraculous make it happen. I am preparing myself for this pruning season so that I can remain in the body of Christ and become more beautiful than I am today (because the pruning will remove the dead weeds and rotten branches of dysfunction out of my life to show the glory that He designed me to display). I'm choosing life. I'm choosing happiness. I'm choosing peace. What do you choose?

John 15: 1-6 (NIV)

Jhn 15:1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener.

Jhn 15:2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes [fn] so that it will be even more fruitful.

Jhn 15:3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.

Jhn 15:4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.

Jhn 15:5 "I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

Jhn 15:6 If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.

Amen

I love you guys. Stay blessed. I will be available for those who need a word with me.
